Cookie Policy

Last updated: 7 August 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Arestech uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website, and how you can control them.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. They help websites remember preferences, keep sessions secure, and understand how pages are used.

How we ask for consent

On your first visit we show a cookie banner. You can Accept all, Reject non-essential, or Customise categories. Your choice is stored in a first-party cookie named arestech_consent for up to 12 months.

You can reopen Cookie settings at any time from the button in the bottom-left of the site.

Essential cookies

These are required for the site to work and cannot be switched off from our banner.

arestech_consent: stores your cookie preferences.

arestech-theme: remembers light or dark theme.

Language preference may also be stored locally in your browser.

Analytics cookies

Used only if you enable Analytics. They help us understand which pages are visited so we can improve the site.

arestech_aid: anonymous first-party visitor id used for consented page-view events sent to our /api/analytics endpoint.

When Analytics consent is granted, Google Analytics 4 may set cookies such as _ga and _gid. We use stream G-01L97LMZDB on arestechub.com and G-SFXJKQ43PS on www.arestechub.com.

Marketing cookies

Used only if you enable Marketing. These support campaign measurement and advertising features when those tools are connected. If Marketing is off, we do not grant advertising storage through consent mode.

What happens when you reject

If you reject non-essential cookies, or turn Analytics and Marketing off, we clear known non-essential cookies from this site and stop sending analytics events. Essential cookies remain.

Browser controls

You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may affect site features such as remembering your consent or theme.
